Gameloft Announces Kobe Bryant Pro Basketball 2008
Gameloft announced a new licensing deal in which the French developer and publisher will create a mobile game based on basketball hero Kobe Bryant.
The Kobe Bryant Pro Basketball 2008 fits nicely into the line of recent sports games launched by Gameloft which all starred the top performing player from the targeted sport.
“Working with Gameloft to develop the most intense mobile version of the sport that I love to play has been a great process,” said Kobe Bryant. “The up-tempo gameplay and attention to detail that Gameloft has implemented in this mobile game match some of the characteristics of my game – it’s a great fit.”
“Much like Kobe Bryant is the premier basketball player on the planet, our game is aiming to be the pinnacle of mobile basketball games” said Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of publishing, Gameloft. “Involving Kobe Bryant and integrating his expertise with our proven success in creating great games will undoubtedly result in a mobile game MVP.”
