“With four titles in the Top Ten Vivendi Games Mobile’s performance typifies the demand in Southeast Asia for solid, branded games that were previously unavailable, ” says Paul Meyers, Acme Mobile’s CEO. “Consumers in the region know a good game when they see it, and once the games were available, they simply took off. In fact all of the Top Ten games this month are notable for their high quality.” Nine of the Top Ten games were not featured in last month’s list, illustrating the dynamic nature of the region’s consumers. The movie-related “TMNT – Power of 4” made it’s debut at the third position, buoyed by the film’s March release, with “Larry Beach Volley”, “Empire Earth” and “Age of Empires II” rounding out the branded titles. “This month’s figures also tell us that there is a very strong market for Sim and Strategy games in the region,” continues Meyers, “with “Sim Babe” reappearing and “Porn Manager” making its debut. “Age of Heroes: Army of Darkness” and “Age of Empires II” are both deep, engaging titles, while consumers recognized that “Adventure Boy in Zooloo Land” is just plain good, old-fashioned fun.”
